I stopped in here completely panicked that my transmission was failing because of engine spikes and some jerkiness on the road. I had personally replaced my spark plugs, coil pack, air filter, and fuses within 3 months, had replaced my oil pump and filter within 4 months, and had topped off all of my fluids and changed my oil just 2 weeks ago, so I knew what to watch out for if, for instance, they told me the transmission was fine, but that I'd need a new x,y,and z. They warned me up front that the diagnostic fee would be between $60 - $120, which seemed within range. Prepared to deal with shiesty mechanics and possibly the news of a shot transmission even if no one was trying to cheat me, I dropped off my keys and crossed my fingers that my repairs would cost less than a $1,000 dollars if I could find a new transmission in a junkyard. My new favorite person -- SHOUT OUT TO MIKE! -- fielded about 3 or 4 calls from me in a span of two hours, and was amazing about fitting me in even though he was booked up. Mike called me back shortly after I begged him for help so I could get to work tomorrow. He told me he had two people drive it, inspected the car, and COULD FIND NOTHING WRONG WITH THE CAR. I asked him what the diagnostic fee would be, and he told me not to worry about it. Told him I couldn't get back there before closing, so he left the key for me in the locked car so I could pick it up with my valet key after hours. I lucked into the most honest mechanics in Denver -- maybe the world! I reset the computer just in case that was the issue and everything is running smoothly. When something does go wrong with this 16 year old saturn, I am paying Mike a visit. Thank you so much guys!!!!!!!
